WEST TEXAS - The recent hike in unemployment rates is causing more families to turn to the West Texas Food Bank for help, but now there's not enough food to go around.

The West Texas Food Bank says they've seen triple the increase in families showing up at their door asking for help.

The Executive Director tells NewsWest 9, the donations have been steady, but it just isn't enough to keep up with the demand.

Folsom says most of the people coming in for food are asking for help for the first time, and most of them have either recently lost their jobs or have seen cut backs in hours.

The West Texas Food Bank says they're worried about having enough food for the holidays.
