ODESSA - A special show is coming to West Texas, but it's not for entertainment.

It's designed to educate people about the growing problem of domestic violence in our area.

The Crisis Center is putting on the monologues as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

It outlines the different phases of abuse.

Some of the people in the play are actual victims of abuse.

It's a way to not only help themselves, but others.

"It will help them express the way domestic violence has affected their lives and has helped them change and make it better for them," Sarai Rodriguez with the Crisis Center, said.
The monologues will be put on at Blackshear Elementary in Odessa on Saturday October 24th from 6:00 - 8:00p.m. and on Sunday October 25 from 2:00 - 4:00p.m.
