City Property Tax Rate Drops to 21 Year Low in Midland

MIDLAND - The City Property tax rate in Midland has dropped to its lowest level in 21 years.

The city's new budget took effect on October 1st, 2009.

The city's property tax rate is down almost three cents per 100 dollar valuation.

The overall budget for this fiscal year drops to 165 million dollars, down about five percent from last year's.

Pay increases for public safety employees and city workers, both take effect in April.
