HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - A Hobbs teen robs a gas station and goes on a drug binge with the cash.

Police say 16-year-old Albert Torres walked into the Valero on north Turner in the Hastings parking lot, around ten Monday night, armed with a bat.

He demanded money from the clerk, pocketed it, and took off running.

After doing some digging, police tracked Torres to his house.

Torres told officers he went to someone's house and bought ten rocks of crack with the cash.

He also admitted to chucking the bat he used in the robbery.

He now faces felony robbery and tampering with evidence charges.
