MIDLAND COUNTY - Officials are investigating after a fatal car-pedestrian accident in Midland County.
Officials tell NewsWest 9, 52-year-old Rosa Conde-Olivas was experiencing problems with her vehicle and pulled to the side of the road and got out of her car to check her tires.
That's when an 18-year-old driver hit the woman, throwing her some 100 feet into the air, killing the Odessa driver.
The driver was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed yet against the driver.
Officials are still investigating.
