ANDREWS - There's been quite a bit of discussion about those school zone signs asking drivers not to chat on their cell phones behind the wheel.
This week, the City of Andrews jumped on board.
The City Council decided to go ahead and put up signs around school zones
If drivers are caught texting, they'll get a ticket.
City leaders say TXDOT will pick up the tab for the signs on Main and Broadway.
The city hopes to have the signs in place by early October.
Many other West Texas schools are still waiting for the go-ahead from their city engineering departments.
