HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Some Hobbs students who missed out on watching President Obama's education speech will soon have a chance to see it in school.
That's after a deal is reached between Hobbs schools and the N.A.A.C.P.
Students at Sanger, Edison, and Taylor Elementary schools will have a choice to watch President Obama's speech this Friday.
The superintendent says students at the three schools did not have the chance to watch the speech live earlier this month.
Parents can expect to see permission slips sent home this week with the option for their child to watch or opt out.
The rebroadcast comes after talks between the Hobbs Municipal Schools and members of the N.A.A.C.P.
