ALPINE - Sul Ross University will soon see some more green for a very important program at Sul Ross.
U.S. Congressman Ciro Rodriguez announced on Monday that Sul Ross will be getting more than $500,000 for what's called the "Open Doors" program.
It's designed to boost higher educational opportunities for Hispanics and other low income students across the most rural regions of West Texas, especially in fields like agriculture and business.
It'll also help the school begin to develop more graduate programs.
