PECOS - The scramble is on to figure out how to fix the lights on the football stadium in Pecos.
Right now, temporary high voltage lines are lighting the field.
Power company crews discovered a short at the base of one of their poles a few weeks ago.
But fixing it is the school's responsibility, not the power company's.
So district officials are trying to figure out what funds they'll use to get the lights back on for good.
They're already in the middle of renovations to the field house that are being funded by the 30 million dollar bond passed by voters three years ago.
