ODESSA - State Representative Tryon Lewis is trying to get back to Austin for another term.
Lewis kicked off a re-election tour of Ector, Andrews, and Winkler Counties on Wednesday morning in Odessa.
Lewis says he's proud of what he's been able to accomplish this term, including setting the groundwork for a clean coal power plant in Ector County and creating an alternative truck route in Andrews.
He says the legislators have a lot of work to do next term, especially on spending and taxes.
If re-elected, Lewis also says he'd like to focus on education.
He says he'd like to limit the high-stakes TAKS testing system, and give local school districts more control.
