GAINES COUNTY - More problems inside the walls of the Gaines County Jail.
Officials tell NewsWest 9, the plumbing system began breaking down, and now, they can't find the parts to fix it.
The county judge says it's left them in limbo.
You may remember the jail is already overcrowded.
Voters said no to building a new jail, leaving the County to shell out $250,000 to house inmates in other counties.
Officials say because they can't locate parts to fix the plumbing, they've shut down several of their bed areas forcing them to house out even more inmates in other jails.
They plan to put the jail back on the ballot in a future election.
