Several West Texas Cities and Counties to Receive Stimulus Funding

Several local cities and counties will soon get hundreds of thousands of dollars in stimulus funding to help their infrastructure.

On Friday, U.S. Congressman Ciro Rodriguez announced a total of 1.7 million dollars in grants to beef up improvements to border communities.

The City of Alpine will get more than $200,000 dollars for street improvements.

Culberson County will also get a similar amount to improve fire protection facilities, and Presidio County will get money for improvements to help the Cibolo Creek Levee and provide better drainage.
