ANDREWS COUNTY- An Andrews County Judge named in a lawsuit involving Waste Control Specialists fired back on Thursday.

Judge Richard Doelenger says the suit filed by members of "No Bonds for Billionaires" has no basis.

That lawsuit accuses hundreds of people of voting illegally back in May when the County narrowly passed a bond for Waste Control Specialists.

Doelenger says many of the folks named in the suit are longtime residents of Andrews and there's no evidence anyone voted illegally.

He also points out, a State Elections Inspector was on hand for the May election and that inspector approved the results.

A formal hearing is planned for this coming Tuesday in Andrews, and Waste Control Specialists announced on Thursday afternoon that it's ready to move forward with its disposal of low-level radioactive waste.

The company's final license was just approved by the state.
