False Alarm Locks Down Forsan School

FORSAN - A false alarm at Elbow Elementary in Forsan turned into a good chance for school officials and law enforcement to make sure they're ready for a real lock-down.

Officials locked down the school around 9:30 Wednesday morning when two teachers reported seeing a man enter the back of the building.

A Howard County Sheriff's Officer came to search the school, but didn't find anyone. It turns out it was an older student the teachers didn't recognize.

School officials and deputies went ahead and used the opportunity to run a drill to make sure they're ready for the real thing should it ever happen.
