LOVINGTON, NEW MEXICO - A New Mexico District Judge has ruled against a Lovington teen after challenging a school suspension over a questionable Facebook photo.
On Tuesday afternoon, a judge ruled to uphold a two-game suspension for a 17-year-old football player.
On Monday, lawyers for both Lovington Schools and the student were in court debating the suspension.
School officials say the student violated school rules after they saw a photo of him holding a beer bottle at a summer party.
The teen's lawyer tried to fight the suspension, saying the student was out of school at a private party, and did not drink any alcohol.
