MIDLAND - A gift from Midland's sister city, that has fallen into disrepair, has its days numbered.

NewsWest 9 told you about the Chinese pavilion in Beal park constructed by Midland's sister city, Dong-Ying, and on Tuesday night, the City Council made a tough call.

Officials say they're breaking down the structure and getting it out of the elements.

Right now, city leaders say there's no cash to fix it up, but they plan to store it in the meantime, and either rebuild it somewhere else or simply start from scratch.

Midland officials say they plan to notify the sister city.
