Major Upgrade Coming to Presidio Streets

PRESIDIO - Getting around Presidio will soon be a smoother ride. The city has a number of unpaved streets, but that's changing thanks to a $5 million grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The paving project includes 70 percent of Presidio's roadways and should be complete within two years. Officials gathered Wednesday to cut the ribbon on a newly completed section of O'Reily Street.

That's not the only improvement in town, Presidio also broke ground on some new ball fields.
