BIG SPRING - A hotline for fighting crime in Big Spring is gaining steam.

The City Council agreed on Tuesday night to consider creating a new hotline so residents could report vandalism and property crimes.

Big Spring has seen a number of high profile vandalism cases and arson fires in the past year, including the torching of the Kid'sZone playground.

The new hotline would compliment CrimeStoppers, but could offer higher rewards for information.
