HOBBS, N.M. - A home that was undergoing renovation caught fire in Hobbs Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were called out to the flame-filled home in Dunnam just before 8:00 local time. It took firefighters about two hours to get the blaze out, but the house and a car in the carport were destroyed.

Investigators say the owners of the home were remodeling and were not living there. No one was hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Anyone with information of the fire is urged to call the fire marshal's office at 575-391-8158.
