WEST ODESSA - The power is back in for residents in West Odessa after a vehicle hit a power pole.

ONCOR officials tell NewsWest 9, a vehicle hit a power pole around 12:00 p.m. off of FM 1936 and West 16th Street and they had to reroute electricity in the area.

The power pole, which was one of ONCOR's main power poles, had to be replaced.  While the pole was being replaced, several power lines locked up which caused the power to go out.

Close to 4,000 people were without power during the outage.
