August Sales Tax Revenue Drops Almost 20% Percent in Midland

MIDLAND - The City of Midland can't get a break when it comes to the bank account.

Tax revenues dropped almost 20 percent for the month of August.

The City says they collected more than 2.1 million dollars, down over half a million dollars from this time last year.

Midland is still up for revenue collected for the fiscal year.

At one point, Midland had seen five straight years of tax revenue increases.
