Lamesa Police Investigating First Homicide in Two Years

LAMESA - For the first time in two years, Lamesa Police are investigating a homicide.

65-year-old Willie Butler was found dead in his home on Monday.

Police say family members had been trying to get in touch with Butler for a couple of days and found him when they went to his house to check on him.

Police say Butler had been hit in the head several times, but are waiting on an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.

So far no arrests have been made.
