ODESSA - They came from all over the Basin like Midland, Stanton, and Crane and headed straight for the U.T. Permian Basin campus.
A new engineering program at U.T.P.B. is creating a very successful environment for area high school students.
The seven week intensive course sends the students all over the state to meet with engineers in Eunice, Lubbock, and they even take a trip to NASA in Houston.
It's the first year for the program, and so far, school officials say it's a big hit.
More than 100 students graduated in the first class.
Organizers say next year will be even bigger and better.
They're also planning a second level for students who completed the first course.
