ODESSA - Parents are scrambling to get their kids the shots they need before school starts.

So many, the Family Health Clinic in Odessa ran out of vaccines on Tuesday.

Medical Center Hospital sent them a fresh batch, but they're afraid they might be out again before the end of the day on Thursday

So far the clinic has vaccinated more than 100 kids and that's more than they've seen since last year.

"Its been a great increase with the new regulations, the shots that were not previously needed are now required and its like a mad dash to get all of them vaccinated before school starts," Mitzi Harris, RN, with Family Health Clinic in Odessa, said.

The family health clinic will be open on Thursday from one until four.

Students entering the 7th grade can get their shots at Permian High School on August 13.
