Company Partners with CASA to Offer College Degree for Community Service

MIDLAND - CASA de Amigos in Midland is teaming up with Americorps to offer a College degree in exchange for community service.

The Student Tutoring, Assessment, Readiness, Success Program, or STARS, was made possible through a $300,000 grant from the One-Star Foundation in Austin.

30 people will get a living allowance and college tuition credit, for completing one year of community service.

You must be 17 or older to apply, have a high school diploma or GED, be a U.S. citizen, and able to pass a literacy test.
