MIDLAND-ODESSA - Mother Nature has left behind quite a bit of rain for West Texans in the last 24 hours.

National Weather Service Meteorologists issued flash flood warnings for Midland and Ector County on Thursday morning due to all the rain that fell.

There were reports of high-water rescues in the area, after some parts of the Central Permian Basin received over three inches of rain.

Ector and Midland County authorities did have to close some roads to the high flood waters, but have since been reopened.
