MIDLAND - Planned Parenthood's 'Birds and the Bees' talk scheduled for Tuesday is stirring up some controversy, at least with Midland's ProLife and Midland Catholics For Life.

Carla Holeva from Planned Parenthood says the 'Knowledge is Power' sex education class will teach grade school children about sex with age appropriate material, but organizations like ProLife and Midland Catholics For Life plan on spreading their message on Tuesday.

ProLife of Midland will hand out pamphlets about Planned Parenthood's stance on abortion.

Holeva says the 'Birds and the Bees' Program is not about abortion, but mainly to educate kids about STDs, puberty, and reproduction.

The Planned Parenthood sex education class will be at the Martin Luther King Center on Tuesday afternoon at one.
