Odessa College Affected by Power Outage

ODESSA - A power outage at Odessa College canceled most classes Tuesday and means changes for some on Wednesday.

The power to the campus was cut off after a truck inadvertently pulled down power lines near the Jack Rodgers Fine Arts Building around 9:30 Tuesday morning.

OC says power will be restored to vital portions of the campus by Wednesday morning.

Classes in Deadrick Hall, Wilkerson Hall and the Learning Resource Center have been reassigned to the OC Annex B & C buildings on the north side of University.

Students and faculty were made aware of the changes by email, text and phone.

Only several buildings were able to remain open Tuesday at the school and the outage knocked out the phone system.
