ODESSA - The first firefighter from the Odessa College / ECISD Fire Academy joined the professional ranks on Thursday.
18 year-old Garrett Fuquay is the newest Odessa firefighter.
He's the first of what officials hope will be many to get a position working along with Odessa's bravest.
