Possible Tax Increase Coming in Coahoma

COAHOMA - Coahoma taxpayers could be seeing more of their money going to help out the school district.

That's according to Superintendent Randy Brown.

He says low mineral values and higher yearly bond payments are making it tough to keep the same rate.

It could be 12 cents higher per 100 dollar valuation.

The school board is working on the budget this month, and they should have a decision on the tax rate in August.
