MIDLAND - Contaminated well water is still the talk in Midland County, but officials say it's too soon to tell how it will affect property values.
On Wednesday, County Tax Assessor Kathy Reeves told NewsWest 9, they will need more information before they can tell how appraisals for homeowners will be affected.
Many residents say since state officials discovered the chromium contamination they have been worried about their home values dropping.
Reeves says officials are still following the ongoing investigation by the TCEQ.
She says appraisals will be affected by the extent of the contamination and how it will be cleaned up.
