Three Men Shot in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - Big Spring Police are trying to piece together a shooting that left three people injured.

It happened Monday night around 11:50. Police responded to the Sunset Ridge Apartments in the 2900 block of Highway 80 to a shots fired call.

Police say they discovered that three men had been shot and had gone to the hospital. Those men have been identified as:

  • 31-year-old Jason Threats of Big Spring
  • 27-year-old Abel Guzman of Big Spring
  • 24-year-old Alfredo Castillo of Big Spring

Guzman and Threats are being treated at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring. Castillo was transferred to a Lubbock hospital. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening.

Police have interviewed numerous witnesses and there is no clear motive for the shooting. Numerous spent 40 caliber and 410GA rounds were recovered from the scene and several vehicles were struck.

At this time the victims have not been ruled out as suspects.
