Hobbs Police Arrest Three Suspects In Connection with an Armed Robbery

Hobbs Police say three people are behind bars and more arrests could be ahead all connected to an armed robbery. 22-year-old Juan Garcia, 21-year-old Elise Cortez, and 23-year-old Eric Estrada are in jail.

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Hobbs Police say three people are behind bars and more arrests could be ahead all connected to an armed robbery.

22-year-old Juan Garcia, 21-year-old Elise Cortez, and 23-year-old Eric Estrada are in jail.

All of them are facing the same charges, armed robbery and conspiracy, and are being held on a $75,000 bond at the Hobbs Municipal Detention Facility.

Police tell NewsWest 9, they were able to catch up with them after an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip.

Officers say the suspects were spotted with the same vehicle

Used in the robbery of a La Tienda grocery store on Sunday.

According to police reports, two men with bandanas over their faces went in with a pistol and grabbed money from the safe.
