AMARILLO - Midland College students are mourning the death of a baseball player killed in a weekend wreck south of Amarillo.

According to state troopers, 19-year-old Byron Chew was driving on Interstate 27, a little after one a.m. on Saturday when he lost control of his car, slid into the median, and hit a pillar.
