PECOS - Three million dollars in federal money is on the way to Pecos.

It's for military research at a testing center in town.

The project will help keep troops safe during and after repeated blasts like the ones from IED's, grenades, and other explosives.

The company's research will also help the military reduce the risk of limb injury and brain damage from the bombs.

The research in Pecos is the only one of its kind in the country.
