ODESSA - Odessa College has spent the week teaching kids about gun safety.
The four day camp teaches them pretty much everything about fire-arms from ammunition to how to properly handle a gun.
They even had a chance to shoot live rounds.
Instructors say it's more important than ever to teach gun safety.
"Just because all the shootings at schools, kids bring guns to school, stuff like that, that way if they would it see happen, they know the responsibilities to respect a gun and basically to prevent things from happening, knowing how to properly use a fire arm," Gun Trainer Joshua Smith, said.
They're already planning another event for next year.
