ODESSA - An Odessa woman will spend 6 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter and failing to render aid charges.

According to Ector County DA Bobby Bland, Bonnie Jean Tolbert made a plea deal.

She was accused of killing Kyle Wayne Fowler in September of 2007 when the car she was driving struck Fowler's Harley Davidson at the intersection of West University and Conover.

Tolbert left the scene, but officers later caught up with her.

Fowler was transported to Medical Center Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

If she had been convicted, Tolbert faced probation to 20 years in federal prison.
