Ector County Sheriff's Car Involved in Hit and Run Accident

ECTOR COUNTY - The Ector County Sheriff's Office is looking for the person who struck a deputies patrol car and then took off.

It happened around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Judy and West County Road.

The Sheriff's Office says a deputy was stopped at a stop sign when he was struck from behind. As the deputy got out of his car, the vehicle backed up and took off leaving the scene.

The vehicle is described as a blue Pontiac Trans Am with Texas plates. Partial License Plate is: SDF- and possibly the numbers 99 following that. No known damage done to the front of the Pontiac.

The Ector County Sheriff's Office and DPS are currently looking for the vehicle.
