MIDLAND - Big bucks for Midland and Odessa law enforcement officers.

On Monday, they received their plaques from the 6th Annual "Bad Boy Blast."

The blast is held every year by Conoco Phillips and Halliburton and benefits Midland and Ector County Sheriff Departments as well as the Midland and Odessa Police Departments.

This year, the event brought in more than $80,000, which means each department gets upwards of $20,000.

The "Bad Boy Blast" is a clay shoot, usually held sometime in April.

Nava said this year they had more than 900 shooters come out to take part in the fundraiser for local law enforcement.
