PECOS - A man accused of double murder in Pecos won't face any additional jail time after pleading guilty to an unrelated federal charge.

Randall Lee Stephens, a convicted sex offender who failed to register when he moved into Pecos pleaded guilty to that charge couple of months ago.

On Monday, a federal judge ruled that the time Stephens has already spent in jail was enough for that crime.

But his legal troubles aren't over.

Stephens is facing an unrelated charge of double murder from last year where he's accused of gunning down Richard and Alicia Cherry at DJ's Round-Up in 2008.

No word yet on that murder trial will begin.
