ODESSA - Three men accused of shooting a guard during a botched armored car heist in Odessa on Thursday are expected back in court this week.
19-year-old Christopher Lee Simmons, 20-year-old Joshua Bell, and 19-year-old Preston Savell all face attempted bank robbery charges for allegedly trying to knock off an armored car at Western National Bank on University and Grandview.
Investigators say the men opened fire on the truck's guards, hitting one of them four times.
A few hours later, authorities caught up to two of the suspects at a mobile home park in Midland County, just off Highway 80.
The third suspect was caught in the 400 block of Neely around 11 Thursday night.
U.S. Marshals have all three men in custody.
They're expected back in court this week for a detention hearing.
Matthew Parker, the guard shot during the robbery, was taken to the hospital where he is recovering.
