Behavioral Hospital in Midland County Continues to Grow

MIDLAND COUNTY - We have an update on a story NewsWest Nine first told you about at the end of last year.

The new behavioral hospital is filling a void here in West Texas, and officials say since the grand opening, it's grown tremendously.

They began by opening the youth department. Now they're working with adults and during the next month, they'll begin serving geriatrics.

The mental health hospital is the first of its kind to serve local patients

Before families had to travel to San Angelo or Lubbock.

The BCA Behavioral Hospital is a 64-bed facility providing a place for the mentally ill to stay while they get help.
