MIDLAND/ECTOR COUNTY - We're getting our first look at the three men authorities say are responsible for the botched armored car heist in Odessa on Thursday.
19 year-old Christopher Lee Simmons, 20 year-old Joshua Bell, and 19-year-old Preston Savell made their first appearances in court on Friday.
They're facing attempted bank robbery charges for trying to rip off that armored car in the parking lot of Western National Bank on University and Grandview on Thursday morning.
Investigators say the men opened fire on the guards of the truck, hitting one of them four times.
Authorities caught up to two of the men at a mobile home park in Midland County, just off of highway 80 later in the afternoon.
The third suspect was caught in the 400 block of Neely around 11 on Thursday night.
All three are being held by U.S. Marshals.
They're expected back in court next week for a detention hearing.
The guard shot during the robbery was taken to the hospital where he is recovering.
