Lightning Sparks Tank Battery Fire in Ector County

ECTOR COUNTY - Lightning is getting the blame for setting a set of tank batteries on fire early Monday morning in Ector County.

Firefighters got the call just after 3:30 to the blaze near FM 1936 and Interstate 20.

We're told one of the tank batteries ruptured and two more were in flames by the time fire crews got there.

It took almost five hours to get the fire out. No one was hurt.
