ALPINE - A former Connecticut man is behind bars in Brewster County after he allegedly shot at an Alpine police officer earlier this week.
29-year-old Jason Fahey has been charged with aggravated assault, evading arrest, and burglary of a vehicle.
Police say it started with a burglary call in the 800 block of north Orange in Alpine on Tuesday morning.
When the officer found Fahey rummaging through a car, police say he ran on foot and fired two shots at the officer.
After a short man hunt, police arrested Fahey.
The officer was not hurt.
