NEAR COLORADO CITY - I-20 is back open after two wrecks in the same day at the same spot.

That's after Mitchell County officials were on the scene of rollover involving an 18-wheeler.

Sheriff's deputies say the first accident happened this morning on I-20 near Milemarker 227.

Around 9:20, the driver of an 18-wheeler lost control on the lorain bridge and crashed.

NewsWest 9 has learned a fire broke out and burned the driver.

Authorities were forced to divert traffic until they had the accident cleaned up around two on Saturday afternoon.

The driver was transported to Lubbock's Burn Unit.

Authorities say they were back on the scene again around five on Saturday afternoon for another crash.

No word if anyone was injured in the second car accident.

Authorities say that spot, the Lorain Bridge, it's prone to slippery roads which could be to blame for both accidents.
