ODESSA - It was just a few weeks ago that three Odessa sixth graders were arrested in connection with a gun on the Blanton Elementary campus.
This one was not a hoax and had worried parents anxiously waiting outside as police stormed the campus searching for the gun and the suspects.
On Tuesday night, the P.T.A. at Blanton recognized E.C.I.S.D., Odessa Police, and staff at the school for their quick action and for protecting students.
