ODESSA - Nursing school numbers in West Texas are on the rise.
The Anita Thigpen Perry School of Nursing announced on Wednesday that it's expanding its traditional nursing program to students in the Permian Basin.
Depending on how much money the school gets from the state, the school will recruit up to 20 undergraduates on our local campus in El Paso and in Abilene.
Students will receive clinical training on site at local hospitals.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board recently rated the Perry School of Nursing as number one in the State for 2008.
