MIDLAND - A Midland County jury has found a Midland teen guilty of Manslaughter after deliberating for more than 10 hours.

Defense and prosecutors handed over the case against 18-year-old Kaily Rosales to jurors Thursday morning.

Rosales was found guilty of Manslaughter late Thursday night. Sentencing is set for Monday morning.

She had also faced charges of Intoxication Manslaughter. Jurors spent hours trying to determine if the marijuana she had smoked had anything to do with the wreck.

Rosales was driving an SUV down Loop 250 in Midland last June when she crossed the median and hit and killed 53-year-old Patricia Hochman.

Prosecutors said Rosales was high when she got behind the wheel of her SUV. They claimed she was speeding down Loop 250 when she hit Hochman's car head-on.
