Reeves County Cemetery Could Close at Night to Keep Contraband Out of RCDC

Keeping contraband out of the hands prisoners in Reeves County could mean shutting down the cemetery at night.

Mount Evergreen and Greenwood Cemeteries border the Reeves County Detention Center.

The sheriff's office says people drive into the cemetery and throw cell phones, tobacco, and drugs over the fence into the prison.

They're also worried about guns getting tossed over the prison fence.

The sheriff says their not trying to keep the families out.

They can still visit their loved ones graves, they just can't drive in.
